Both types have their own features and serve different industries. The first technology is the cheapest as the labels produced are not made to last a long time. However, some industries prefer this technology because of its reduced cost but mainly because they don’t need high quality labels in their processes. The second technology of label printers is mainly used by retail chains and logistic operators, which are companies that need high quality labels on their products. Our advice is that you should first evaluate the type of printers you need. The price is important but not critical when taking a decision.
