Common features of label dispensers

Although the amount of brands and models of label dispensers in the market is enormous, we can always find common characteristics among them. For manual models variety can be great, but electrical models most of the time share the same features. If we don’t consider the size of labels they are designed for, most electric label dispensers use photosensor accuracy to determine the end of a label and the beginning of another. This is very important to avoid cutting the labels by the middle and wasting material. Most of them can automatically remove the label from its liner. This is of course in the case that the roll of labels is not attached to another device, such as a printer. In that case, we don’t want to remove the label because that label will form part of another process.

Remember that label dispensers can form part of bigger processes. Most models can also remove liner scrap to work in a cleaner environment. This is useful when you have an employee working side by side with the dispenser. Also, most label dispensers can be adjusted to work with different size of labels, thus becoming flexible equipment that can make you save some money. Most industrial models are built using metal, because that material has a better resistance to damages and is more durable. Of course humidity can become a problem, but metal can always be protected with layers of chemical solutions in order to resist corrosion. Most label dispensers are easy to maintain, so you probably won’t need to call a technician if you find a problem. These devices are very simple and unless the power source is broken, then you should probably fix them easily. And finally, most models use a DC power source so it is highly probable that they come with a DC adapter.
