Label Dispensers

Manufacturing industry has needed printed labels on their products for almost 50 years. This is how label dispensers evolved from very simple ones to the most complex and advanced models of today which uses complex software to dispense the labels.

Label dispensers are generally stationary machines designed to feed labels in large quantities, according to the user specifications. It is important to notice that label dispensers use labels already printed by label printers, these labels normally come in rolls of different sizes. The idea behind these machines is that operators won’t spend more time trying to separate the label from the liner. Manual workers won’t play with one roll of labels in one hand while at the same time they try to apply the label to the product with the other hand.

A very important part of label dispensers is the sensor used to know when another label must be feed by the dispenser. Some dispensers can come with an applicator, so labels can be pressed into products automatically. These cost more than machines which only dispense labels. By adding more automation to label dispensers, a fully automated supply line can be built in order to increase efficiency and decrease time lost spent by manual workers doing this tedious and repetitive task with almost no value added to the final customer. Companies need to remember that labels on their products do not enhance their quality, nor they improve their benefits by any means. So labelling products is a task that must be done quickly to assign more time to other more important processes. Knowing these facts, label dispenser suppliers are constantly investing in research and development trying to improve their technologies every day in order to provide businesses with faster and cheaper ways to integrate label dispensers into the production processes of their goods.
