A label is a tag attached with adhesive to something so as to identify the object or its contents. Labels have many uses, from product identification to name tags. Barcodes are frequently used on many products as a convenient way of identification. Brand labels are used to identify the company which produces the product they are attached to and can identify the contents in a packet or jar.
