New Range of Digitally Printed Labels
We’ve had the pleasure to print these fab digital labels for Colman’s “Big Night In” range. We know we do not need to make any introductions. They have been making mustard since 1814. It is an iconic, well-beloved brand that everyone recognises, but you might not be familiar with some of their newer additions. Apart from the classic, fiery mustard, they offer condiments, spice mixes and pour-over sauces.
Big Night In is a range of recipe mixes – from curry dishes to chicken kebab, they have family favourites for everybody.
How Colman’s is supporting British Farming
One of the reasons Colman’s products should stay on your radar is their approach to sourcing the ingredients:
“We’ve been working with local farmers for over 200 years to craft products with full-on flavour, so we know that the best flavour comes from British produce. That’s why our fresh mint and mustard are grown and harvested in East Anglia. That’s why the British Bramley apples in our Apple Sauce are picked from orchards in Northern Ireland, Kent and Wisbech.
This also means we’re uniquely placed to understand the threat faced by local farmers, who need more people to buy their products. So, we stand for locally sourced produce that hasn’t travelled for thousands of miles; we stand for knowing where our food comes from; we stand for livestock that is reared to the highest welfare standards.
We’re proud to already source our free-range eggs, mustard seeds, mint, apple and parsley from the UK, and we’re working hard to find the rest of our ingredients closer to home too. Sometimes this isn’t possible, like in the case of cranberries, who, like most of us, don’t like the weather over here.”

Label Printing Process
While Colman’s make sure the inside is up to the highest standard – we are looking after the outside! The labels have been produced with the utmost care and with the best materials, as always – produced with food safety in mind.
Digital printing is a solution for shorter batches and for products with frequent design changes. Also may come in handy if you require ultrafast turnaround time, as this printing method doesn’t require printing plates, which speeds up the process.
