We have just printed spectacular new printed labels for Noa Bakehouse.
Noa Bakehouse was founded by Miles Petit and his wife Pippa, in Jan 2013, upon their return to the Isle of Man after years in London. “Noa Bakehouse is the sourdough baking, pastry shaping, doughnut filling, flat white slinging, coffee roasting, pizza stretching, local living, community loving bakers based in an old furniture warehouse in the centre of Douglas” – you can read in an interview they have given to Island Influencers.
They talk about many interesting aspects of their business: their time in London, discovering their passion for baking and creating a market for sourdough products. They discuss brand name (having its roots in the Gaelic language, where it means “fresh”) and they comment on finding work – life balance, raising their daughters while growing business and their hopes for the future. The labels we have produced for them look stunning and vibrant. They have a very important job of sealing the freshness and protecting the product while contributing to the wholesome brand experience.
They have been designed, along with the whole brand image by an award-winning agency based in Ireland – Dave Fitz Design. We have asked Dave what was his process when approaching this design brief:
In terms of brand and packaging development, it was vital for us to portray and communicate the simple and creative nature that Miles and Pippa brought to the products and experience. The brand needed to be ‘handmade’ and represent the very passionate, honest, and very ‘likeable’ attributes that Pippa and Miles possess.
At the time we began with them they had to date used some local artists to mix and match some of their communications posters and marketing and we wanted to build on that. It had already begun to evolve a creative narrative that we felt was right, so we just helped define and progress it.
We love the designs Dave has come up with for Noa Bakehouse and we look forward to seeing this brand develop further!
