At Etiquette Labels Ltd, we recently produced a run of bespoke printed labels for Whitelink Seafoods, a respected name in the Scottish seafood industry and a long-standing producer of high-quality fresh and frozen fish products. These labels are designed specifically for the outer cases of packed seafood cartons, helping Whitelink maintain clear, reliable identification throughout storage, handling, and distribution.
About Whitelink Sea Foods
Whitelink Seafoods, based in Fraserburgh in northeast Scotland, has been operating for decades as one of the region’s leading processors and exporters of premium seafood. Their reputation has been built on consistent product quality, trusted sourcing, and the ability to meet the strict demands of domestic and international markets. Whitelink handles a wide variety of species – including haddock, cod, monkfish, and other North Atlantic Sea catches, supplying both fresh and frozen formats to wholesalers, retailers, and global buyers. Their production environment is fast-paced, highly regulated, and dependent on efficient cold-store logistics, making reliable case labelling absolutely essential.
Built for harsh environments

For this project, the printed labels were produced using a 5-colour printing process with the latest in UV ink technology, delivering strong colour accuracy and durability even in demanding conditions. The chosen substrate, a coated synthetic material, offers exceptional strength and resistance to moisture, ensuring the labels remain intact and legible throughout the cold-chain.
To support Whitelink’s operational requirements, the labels feature an overprintable varnish, allowing the customer to easily add variable data such as product descriptions, batch codes, dates, and other traceability information using their in-house label printers. This makes each label both brand-ready and operationally flexible.
Performance where it matters
Seafood production environments are notorious for extreme temperatures, condensation, and constant handling. The labels utilise a permanent high-tack adhesive designed specifically for low-temperature applications, ensuring strong adhesion on corrugated cases even in refrigerated or frozen storage. Combined with the synthetic face stock, the result is a label that stays firmly applied, resists peeling, and maintains print clarity from packing to delivery.
Supporting efficiency and compliance
Clear, durable outer-case labelling is a small detail with a big impact in seafood logistics. These labels help Whitelink maintain compliance with customer and export requirements, streamline identification in cold stores, and minimise scanning errors during dispatch.
