Within the labelling industry, there will be some things that will require your attention &#8211; to make sure the labels are reflecting all the changes in the law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the information you need is gathered neatly on this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/food-labelling-changes-after-brexit\">website<\/a>. Here are some of the important points:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"eu-organic-logo\">EU organic logo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You must not use the EU organics logo from 1 January 2021 unless:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>your UK control body is authorised by the EU to certify UK goods for export to the EU<\/li><li>the UK and the EU agree to recognise each other\u2019s standards (called \u2018equivalency\u2019)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/organic-certification-list-of-uk-approved-organic-control-bodies\">control body<\/a>&nbsp;to stay up to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the UK does not reach an equivalency deal with the EU, you cannot export organic food or feed from the UK to the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can continue to use your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/organic-certification-list-of-uk-approved-organic-control-bodies\">UK organic control body logo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read more about&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/trading-and-labelling-organic-food-if-theres-no-brexit-deal\">trading and labelling organic food from 1 January 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"eu-emblem\">EU emblem<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You must not use the EU emblem on goods produced in the UK from 1 January 2021 unless you have been authorised by the EU to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"eu-health-and-identification-marks\">EU health and identification marks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On products of animal origin (<abbr title=\"Products of animal origin\">POAO<\/abbr>), you must replace the EU oval health and identification marks with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.food.gov.uk\/business-guidance\/eu-exit-changes-to-health-and-identification-marks\">new UK health and identification marks<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"country-of-origin-labels\">Country of origin labels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p> UK food must not be labelled as origin \u2018EU\u2019 from 1 January 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Visit the link above to find out more.
