We’re proud to have partnered with Becws Môn Bakery, a much-loved artisan bakery rooted in Anglesey, North Wales to produce a run of printed labels designed to be as practical as they are stylish.
Set against the backdrop of fresh loaves, pies, cakes and the Welsh landscape, these labels reflect exactly what Becws Môn stands for : honest food, made with care, and presented simply and beautifully.
Designed for real bakery environments
For this project, the brief was clear – the labels needed to support a wide and ever-changing product range without adding unnecessary complexity to day-to-day operations.
To achieve this, we supplied labels finished with an overprintable varnish, allowing Becws Môn to print variable information in-house. Product names, ingredients, allergens, weights and best-before details can all be added using a standard printer, giving the bakery total flexibility while remaining fully compliant.
This approach is ideal for bakeries producing multiple SKUs daily, seasonal specials, or small-batch products where pre-printed variable data simply wouldn’t make sense from a labelling perspective.
Created for both Form and Function
While the design is intentionally clean and understated, performance was central to the specification. The materials, inks and adhesive were selected to handle:
- Hands-on production environments
- Frequent handling during packing and sale
- Application to a range of bakery packaging formats
The result is a label that applies cleanly, prints crisply, and stays put, without distracting from the product itself.
