Belton Farm’s Red Fox and White Fox cheeses are already distinctive products, known for their character, depth and rich flavour profiles. For their Special Reserve variants, the printed labels needed to reflect something even more elevated: vintage recipes, extended ageing, family heritage and a clear premium point of difference on shelf.
The Red Fox Special Reserve is aged for 18 months, while the White Fox Special Reserve is aged for 20 months, giving each cheese additional maturity, complexity and depth. To support this more premium positioning, the labels were produced on a special gold foil paper, creating a finish that immediately communicates quality and craft.
A key feature of the design is the Special Reserve rosette-style graphic, which carries the signature of Belton Farm family owner Justin Beckett. By using the gold foil within this rosette, the label gains a strong focal point that catches the light, draws attention and helps the product stand out to customers in a busy retail environment.
The labels were printed using the latest in UV ink technology, allowing for excellent colour strength, sharp detail and a high-quality finish across the full design. The sky vignettes are vibrant and atmospheric, the black graphic elements are crisp and deep, and the Belton Farm tree has been printed using gold ink to add another subtle premium detail.
This combination of gold foil paper, UV ink, gold ink and carefully controlled print quality gives the Red Fox and White Fox Special Reserve printed labels a refined, high-end appearance while preserving the familiar Belton Farm identity. The result is packaging that feels traditional, crafted and premium, while still using modern print technology to achieve maximum shelf impact.
For artisan and speciality food products, label quality plays a major role in how customers perceive value. In this case, the gold foil rosette helps communicate the Special Reserve nature of the cheese instantly, giving the packaging a stronger visual hierarchy and a more luxurious feel.
The finished labels bring together heritage, family ownership, vintage cheesemaking recipes and premium print production, helping Belton Farm’s Special Reserve cheeses look every bit as distinctive as the products themselves.
